Police in Market Deeping are looking for three men suspected of breaking into the home of an elderly woman near the town at the weekend.
It happened in West Road, Tallington, at about 7pm last Friday when the gang got inside the house, ransacked it and stole money from the woman’s purse.
The dog unit was called out and a scent was followed to the Casewick Lane/St Lawrence Way areas, near Tallington Care Home.
Police said the suspects were all in their 20s, of thin build and wearing baseball caps.
In particular, police want to trace the driver and passengers of a silver or blue BMW that was seen in the area at the time of the burglary.
