Court acts to help villagers

ANTI-social behaviour injunctions have been served on a man and woman who “conducted a sustained campaign of behaviour that blighted the lives of villagers”.

Peterborough County Court made orders against Anne-Marie Fenton and David Baldwin, of Dovecote Estate, Rippingale, following an application from South Kesteven District Council.

The orders prevent them from causing nuisance, harassment, alarm or distress to villagers – failure to comply could end in a fine or prison.

Council interim head of housing Ian Richardson said the council acted on behalf of residents who “have a right to feel safe in their homes” and to prevent further anti-social behaviour.

Council bosses met 20 residents in the village on Thursday to see how they and police could offer further
support.
