STUDENTS moving up to Sir John Gleed School in Spalding have had a chance to get used to their new surroundings.
Over the holidays a summer school has been running in the post 16 centre.
There was a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme, with lots of activities for students to learn new skills and opportunities to make friends.
Activities included T-shirt design, cake decorating, origami, archery, animation and a trip to Cadbury World on Thursday.
A games session with a difference concluded the week, with the children given the opportunity to take part in the paralympic sport, blind football.
Mary Pitcher, the summer school’s coordinator, thanked all of the staff who gave up a week of their holiday to run activities.
