FOR 20 years, Pinchbeck company Kirby & Wells has been supplying everything needed to build a house, apart from the bricks and mortar.
Directors Richard and Lesley Westlake, who run the business with their son Ben (22), weren’t going to let that moment pass without taking the opportunity to celebrate the anniversary with a trade show at which various suppliers demonstrated their wares and registered visitors were treated to free food and drink, a special cake bearing the company logo, as well as a bouncy castle for youngsters.
Lesley said: “We are an architectural ironmongery and builders’ hardware so we handle everything from screws to black handles and have a wide range of everything that is needed for building a house, and we do power tools too.”
