NOON: HOLBEACH High Street has been reopened after being closed off by police investigating an alleged assault.
The road was closed in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) and was reopened around 11.30am.. The closure is from The Chequers pub to the Horse and Groom.
Residents are saying that blood stains can be seen on the pavements from the Chequers area to near the Mansion House.
10AM: HOLBEACH High Street has been closed off by police investigating an alleged assault.
The incident is believed to have happened between 7pm and 8pm last night (Saturday) and the victim, who suffered a serious head injury, is being treated in hospital.
The road was closed in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) and is expected to remain so until lunchtime today. The closure is from The Chequers pub to the Horse and Groom.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman told the Free Press this morning they are preserving two potential crime areas and the road will be reopened as soon as scenes of crime officers have completed a forensic search.
No further details are available at the moment, but we will update the story as soon as we have more information.
