A TRIAL is to take place later this year in connection with the assault of a woman in Tydd Gote.
Zac Nixon (23), of Hockland Road, Tydd St Giles, denied assaulting Abbey Rhoades on June 26 when he appeared at Spalding Magistrates Court last Thursday.
He also pleaded not guilty to handling stolen goods in the form of a mountain bike stolen from the home of Mary Glenwright which was burgled at some time between June 1 and 16.
The bike was recovered in Tydd Gote by police investigating the alleged assault on the same day, although its exact value is unknown.
The trial will be held at Spalding Magistrates Court on November 8 and Mr Nixon was given conditional bail.
