POLICE are working with Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance in a bid to stop thieves benefiting from donated goods left out for door-to-door collectors.
The action follows a spate of thefts in the Nene Meadows area in Sutton Bridge.
Police say the charity’s chief executive, Peter Aldrick, is urging members of the public to check with the charity to see if any leaflets issued on its behalf are actually genuine and then spread the word to their neighbours.
The charity can be contacted on 01522 548469.
