FORMER Spalding headteacher Geoff Cowley has started a new job to help raise educational standards at a troubled high school in Guernsey.
Mr Cowley ran Gleed Boys’ School for eight years, but the headship went to Janet Daniels last year when the boys’ and girls’ sites merged to form the Sir John Gleed School.
His new school is La Mare de Carteret High School and he will work as a “school improvement partner”.
