A man caught smoking cannabis in a parked car in Bourne told magistrates it was “my biggest mistake”.
Tarzan Hadzaj (23), of Gladstone Street, Bourne, was inside a green VW Passat with others when an officer conducted a search at 7.30pm on July 2.
Rebecca Ritson, prosecuting, said Hadzaj told the officer he had cannabis bush worth £5.
He bought £10 worth earlier and had half left.
Hadzaj told the court: “I just want to say I am really ashamed to be honest, my biggest mistake, I am sure it won’t happen again.
“Since I have been arrested I have learned my lesson. I won’t use the drug any more. I have had enough, really.”
He told Spalding magistrates on Thursday he was recovering from a slipped disc and was out of work.
Magistrates fined him £75 for possession of the drug. He must pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Hadzaj admitted possessing a class B controlled drug.
Magistrates ordered forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis.
