Police searched a man who had been hanging around in a street and found he had cannabis.
Matthew Clark (25), of Edinburgh Drive, Spalding, began walking away as the officer walked towards a group of people in the town’s Red Lion Street. Rebecca Ritson, prosecuting, said the officer spotted Clark’s pupils were constricted and he was a “potential drug user”. Clark was fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge when he pleaded guilty to possessing the class B controlled drug. Carrie Simpson, mitigating, said Clark recently completed a methadone programme with addaction and was taking things one day at a time.
