Going scrapping and stealing a dilapidated wheelbarrow from a Gosberton driveway landed a man with a three-month curfew when he appeared in court on Thursday.
Joe Heath (19) was driving around the village at 7.45am on September 20 when he spotted the wheelbarrow in Cambridge Gardens.
Prosecutor Edward Johnson said someone saw Heath and alerted police.
Heath, of Lowfield Lane, Balderton, Newark, admitted theft and admitted the offence put him in breach of a conditional discharge for common assault.
He was given nine months supervision, tagged for a three-month 7pm-7am curfew and must pay £85 costs.
Solicitor Nicola Gray said Heath was invited by a friend to go scrapping and accepts it was “extremely stupid”.
