A man stopped on the A151 at Weston was over the drink-drive limit and had no insurance. Nerijus Silanskis (33) had 63 microgrammes of alcohol in breath on September 22 – the legal limit is 35mcgs.
Spalding magistrates on Thursday banned him from driving for 18 months and fined him £220 for driving with excess alcohol.
Silanskis, of The Furrow, Littleport, can cut four months off the ban if he completes a rehabilitation course.
He was fined £110 for driving without insurance and must pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. He admitted both offences.
Solicitor Rachel Stevens, mitigating, said Silanskis was giving a friend an urgent lift.
