Our very popular Speed Networking event is not so far away now, so please get your place booked by emailing: rachel.mooney@lincs-chamber.co.uk

It takes place on Thursday, November 15 from 5.30pm to 8pm.

Held at the Broad Street Business Centre in Spalding, a very convivial atmosphere makes this event an excellent way of meeting a whole variety of new and diverse business contacts, so it’s well worth attending.

If you’re not there, your competitors probably will be!

There’s a first class buffet served from 5.30pm onwards onwards too, so what’s to lose?

All businesses are welcome from the whole area, and there’s no need to be a member of Chamber – although of course we’d like you to be!

• During the last month we are delighted to have welcomed 18 new members to Chamber and hope that they will actively participate to make our organisation even more vibrant. New members include – Bakkavor, Art ICT Solutions, Marks & Spencer, Argos, Wilkinsons and Boston College. It’s worth visiting our website www.spalding chamber.co.uk regularly as we do try and keep it up to date and have recently introduced an on-line membership pack which gives details of our objectives, activities along with some of the benefits of being a member.

• Members are invited to the next Members Meeting on Tuesday, November 6 at the Broad Street Business Centre starting at 5.45pm.

At the meeting you will hear a report on our current activities plus a presentation on the Christmas Festival.

A discussion will follow on which “projects” would improve the town centre best so we can put them forward to the Council for funding from s106 monies.

Currently projects under consideration include a Town Centre Manager, improved signs, permanent covered craft market, street pastors and a combined flower and food festival.

Potential members are most welcome to join us at this meeting and participate in the discussion.

Christmas Festival – Saturday, December 1: With darker nights and a noticeable chill in the air it’s not hard to believe that Christmas will soon be with us.

Chamber members have been particularly active in planning the Christmas Festival which will take place on Saturday 1st December .

Please put this date in your diary to make sure you visit the town centre.

Jan Whitbourn (Tulip Radio), Darryl Simpson (Hills) and David Norton (Springfields, Spalding) have been putting together a programme of “family” events in the Market Place from 10am throughout the day to the Christmas Lights switch-on in the late afternoon.

This year the town will also have new LED Christmas lights which are sure to make the town sparkle through to festive period.
