Controversial plans for a wind farm at Treading Field, Sutton St Edmunds, are going to an eight day planning inquiry for a final verdict.
Applications for six turbines on a site straddling the South Holland District Council and Fenland District Council borders were submitted by Wind Ventures.
South Holland rejected two turbines and Fenland rejected four. The turbines have a tip height of 126 metres, around three metres higher than Salisbury Cathedral.
The planning inquiry will start on April 22 at Fenland’s Wisbech offices.
• Pinchbeck Parish Council is objecting to a 78 metre high turbine being sited at the Bernard Matthews factory in Coward’s Lane.
