The amazing efforts of students and staff at Spalding Academy for the 2016 Children in Need appeal has been recognised with a certificate.
A day of games, including Name the Bunny and Guess the Number of Sweets, and a cake sale on Friday, November 18 last year helped the school raise the astonishing sum of £1,240 for the annual charity day run by the BBC.
Assistant head teacher Nicola Hall-Rushton called the effort “an amazing day” and she added: “Thanks should go to all the students and staff who made or bought cookies on the day, those on the gates who collected extra pennies and to Sainsbury’s in Spalding for donating cookies to help raise monies for the event.”
