A salon offering beauty and holistic therapies, Tip2Toe, could switch from Spalding’s Spring Gardens to the Tulip Radio site in The Crescent.
Sarah Steel, from Tip2Toe, is seeking planning consent for a change of use of the building to offer services including nails, beauty, hairdressing and holistic/complementary therapies.
The application will be decided by South Holland District Council.
A design and access statement accompanying the planning application says Tip2Toe has been trading for around seven years from its current premises but they are in the process of being sold by the owner so the business urgently needs to relocate.
It says The Crescent has been home to Tulip Radio since 2010 but the radio project has now disbanded and the building will be left vacant in the coming weeks.
Before that the building was used by a computer services provider and, earlier still, by a wine merchant,
The statement says Tip2Toe currently employ three ladies but this number may increase by an additional two in time.
It continues: “Noise levels will be minimal with quiet background music, undetectable outside the building.”
Tulip Radio stopped broadcasting at the end of January.
