Monday: A late surge over the last week saw 1,000 people scrambling to register for cheaper gas and electricity with South Holland District Council.
Some 2,200 South Holland people were registered by the midnight deadline for today’s auction on behalf of a consortium of local authorities.
Across the consortium, 25,000 people are registered.
Details of the offer prices will be available soon.
Savings for customers are expected to be between £50 and £200
We will bring you updates on our website and in Thursday’s Spalding Guardian.
• It’s not too late to register an interest because a second auction takes place in December. Some 1,250 people have already put their names down. To register an interest, visit www.sholland.gov.uk and click on the banner headline “Ready to Switch?”
You can also register by visiting the council offices in Priory Road, Spalding, or by talking to your ward councillors.
Registering is free and you make no commitment to switch until you accept an offer price.
