A letter from seafarers asking the parish council to fly the Red Ensign could result in councillors agreeing to buy a flagpole.
Chairman Coun Bill Harrison said: “If we had a flagpole we could do this.”
A possible flagpole purchase will be debated at the council’s meeting next month.
