BATTLING district councillor Roger Gambba-Jones is delighted Network Rail and Lincolnshire County Council are finally agreed on a plan to light Stepping Stone Bridge in Spalding.
But he says the problem of flooding on the troublesome railway bridge still remains.
He told Spalding Town Forum: “The other issue I am struggling to deal with is the drainage.”
Coun Gambba-Jones said Network Rail had supposedly drilled holes on the bridge to allow water to seep through but he’s looked and can’t find them.
He said: “When it floods – and then it freezes – it’s absolutely lethal. But one problem at a time.”
