SURFLEET Parish Council is seeking to cut the current 40mph limit in Gosberton Road to 30mph – so the village falls in line with some of its neighbours.
Council chairman Coun Glynn Waltham said police advice up to now has been to stick to 40mph because 30mph limits bring parking problems.
But members supported an approach to Lincolnshire County Council to ask for a cut.
Coun Mary Hurst said: “It’s 30 in Pinchbeck, 30 in Gosberton. Why can’t it be the same in Surfleet, especially going across that bridge?”
