Weston Hills Primary School has ensured the memories of 2012 can be shared with the next generation after creating their own time capsule.
The history box filled with photographs, newspaper cuttings and items of school uniform was inspired by events such as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics.
It also contains drawings and essays written by pupils about 2012 and their hopes for 2037 when the capsule is to be opened.
The capsule has an inscription on its lid written by Henry Wright which says: “Great school, great year, learning is everywhere, learning is everything, what a golden year.”
