Lots for children to do indoors in half term

Spring half-term is generally the one when indoor activities are most welcome to both children and parents, and the Spalding area has quite a few of these planned for the holiday starting tomorrow.

Young theatre-goers can have plenty of interactive fun, including a snowball fight with loads of fake snow, at the South Holland Centre on Friday the 22nd when The Snow Play is in town.

It’s a live performance that three to nine year-olds will love and enjoy getting involved in ,curtain up at 2pm. Booking adviseable.

Tinkerbell: Secret of the Wings in both 2D and 3D and Monsters Inc (3D ) are both getting daytime screenings at the South Holland Centre through the week as well.

The Castle pool at Pinchbeck Road, Spalding has free taster swimming sessions for beginners - aged six to seven from 9 to 9.30am on the 18th and 20th; at 9.30am the same days for four and five-year-olds; and from 9am on the 19th for eight years upwards.

Also on Tuesday the Pool is hosting its popular Distance Awards Day from 3pm to 3.45.

Parents and children aged four to 12 are welcome to Ayscoughfee Hall on Thursday between 11am and 3pm to create insects out of an exciting range of materials at local artist Maria Maidment’s Craft Day. Entrance £2.50 per child.
