Police are trying to trace the driver of a car involved in a crash where a cyclist was hurt in Weston Hills.
It happened on Austendyke Road where a middle-aged man was knocked off his bike after colliding with a green Ford Ka at about 6pm on February 10.
The man, from Fleet Fen, suffered an injured thumb but didn’t need hospital treatment and police believe the driver left the scene after checking on the man’s condition.
PC Paul Smith from Spalding Police Station said: “We would like to trace the driver of the car who is described as a white British woman, aged 20 to 30, slim with short hair and five feet six to five feet seven tall.
“She did stop to check how the man was but then said she had to go somewhere with her children and drove off.
“The man who was knocked of his bike ended up in a ditch at the side of the road and the bike itself, which he rides to work, has a squashed back wheel and the chain is buckled.
“We would like to trace the woman and see how she can help us with details about the accident.”
Anyone with information should call PC Smith at Spalding Police Station on 101, quoting incident number 342 of February 10.
