A TWO-storey, 12-bedroom expansion is on the cards for the Tanglewood Cedar Falls Care Home in Little London, Spalding.
The home already accommodates 69 residents and there are a further 12 old folk’s bungalows on site.
Adele Rose, from the Tanglewood Care Homes head office at Boston, said Cedar Falls is constantly at capacity and the expansion plans were prompted by demand.
Building work is likely to start in the spring if planning consent is given.
The home currently employs between 130-150 full and part-time staff but it is not yet clear how many extra jobs will be created.
Cedar Falls was built in 1992 and the two-storey extension will be in keeping with the existing style.
As well as 12 new ensuite bedrooms, there will be an additional access/escape staircase.
