Moulton has a brand new website to keep villagers informed about events going on in the village.
It’s at www.moultoncommunitycentre.co.uk and the website lists the wide range of activities going on at the community centre and village hall, both former Victorian schools.
The association has its own events, such as the grand annual spring fair taking place this Saturday and featuring a variety of stalls as well as a children’s art competition and ploughman’s lunches.
Later in the year, there’s an evening fashion show (April 24) and a garden crawl and horticultural show on July 13 and 14.
Regular events include all kinds of exercise, from yoga to tai chi, line dancing to salsa classes, and meetings of the Cactus Society.
The scout and guiding movement is healthy in Moulton, with weekly classes for Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and – since May last year – guides.
Guide leader Rachel Wilson was asked to start 1st Moulton Guides as there wasn’t a unit in the village and nearby units were already full.
Rachel says: “I have got 16 guides at the moment. I think they struggle more to do these kind of activities because they have so much more homework to do but they do seem eager to come back week after week.”
The guides meet each Wednesday from 6.30-8pm.
