Book reviews, library visits and fancy dress were some of the elements packed into an “intense” week to mark World Book Day at Ayscoughfee Hall School.
Pupils and staff dressed up in costumes to look like popular fictional characters as books were brought to life in a fun-filled way.
Other events included a World Book Day-themed assembly, a visit to Spalding shop Bookmark, cooking and an arts display featuring characters from books.
Deputy headteacher Sally Chester said: “We had a very, very intense week but it was so much fun.”
