The chairman of newly reformed Holbeach Business Forum is urging traders to back the group so it can act as a strong voice for the town’s economy.
Dave Hudson, owner of Toto Shoes in High Street, hopes interest will be high when the forum meets at the University of Lincoln’s Holbeach campus on Tuesday, April 16, at 6.30pm.
The forum was officially reformed last month with Mr Hudson joined on the new committee by secretary Chris McKenn,a of Bulley Davey Accountants, and treasurer Mary Dack, of Mossop and Bowser Solicitors.
Mr Hudson said: “The new committee feels more active members are needed to share the forum’s workload but we believe this will be resolved when the business community starts to see the changes that have already been put in place during the winter months.
“There are a few dedicated members of the forum and praise must be given for their continued efforts to attend the meetings and provide their input.
“Holbeach can be a thriving market town again and as 2013 gathers momentum, we hope to see our membership increase and active support double during the year.”
