Whaplode firm NTP Services Ltd is spreading the message to other business that first aid training could be a matter of life and death.

The training provider for haulage and logistics firms based on High Road is launching a new first aid training course after staff helped to save the life of a man at Truckfest Peterborough last year.

NTP’s training Manager Kelly Moore said: “We were at Truckfest 2012 when a man collapsed near our stand.

“We ended up giving him first aid for 20 minutes before he was taken to hospital and we were later told that our actions saved his life.

“You never know when you might need your first aid skills and we were so relieved that we knew what to do on that day.”

NTP Services is offering first aid training to businesses in the South Holland and Deepings area, with sessions lasting a minimum of six hours.

Kelly said: “Having realised there’s a need locally, we’ve decided to open up our training to help other organisations in the area.”
