THIEVES have made off with a “minuscule” amount of copper piping from new homes on an estate in Spalding.
Someone forced their way into four plots on Foxglove Court through temporary doors overnight on Wednesday.
Broadgate Homes chief executive Ian Canham said: “They have had a minuscule amount and it will probably cost those responsible more in petrol to get to the scrap yard than what it’s worth. However, it is a nuisance to us.”
Mr Canham said thefts on such estates were unusual because some homes are already occupied, which acts as a deterrent.
Police are urging the public to report any suspicious activity or vehicles by noting the registration number.
Anyone with information should contact Spalding Police Station on 101.
