New businesses in Bourne and The Deepings can take advantage of a free project promoting growth, innovation and prosperity.

SKDC4Business, run by South Kesteven District Council in partnership with Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, aims to help firms in the area with impartial advice, networking events and specialist workshops.

Online marketing expert Paul Parkinson has been signed up as an independent business advisor and more than 100 firms have already taken advantage of the project, including Bourne-based Adept ESL Limited which provides electrical installation and testing services.

Technical director Daniel Smith said: “I showed Paul what I’d already put in place as a new business in Bourne and he advised me on what he thought I should do to change and improve things.

“As a consequence, I got at least one decent business lead out of it, so I would recommend that all new businesses should take advantage of the project.”
