A Spalding man has been handed a suspended prison sentence after breaching a court order for harassing vulnerable council tenants.
Marcus Jackson, of Queens Road, was one of seven men and women given injunction orders last November, which banned them from entering Hereward Road, Poplar Court and Edward Road in Spalding.
Jackson (33), was arrested on Sunday, having been found in Hereward Road.
He appeared at Boston County Court the following day and admitted breaching the order. He was given a 21-day prison sentence, suspended for 11 months.
In total since September 2013, 12 men and women have been handed injunction orders for causing serious harassment and distress to vulnerable tenants of South Holland District Council.
Coun Christine Lawton, portfolio holder for housing landlord services, said: “These 12 people acted in a despicable manner and it’s even worse that one of them still chose to ignore the court order and go into the exclusion area.
“We do feel disappointed that the prison sentence was suspended but we’re thankful again to the role of Spalding police for bringing this man back before the court.
“Together we’ll continue to protect our tenants from acts of anti-social behaviour.”
