Anglian Water’s resurfacing work at Spalding’s Pinchbeck Road and Woolram Wygate junction will now continue into tomorrow (Wednesday), a day later than expected.
An Anglian Water spokesman told us: “We’ve laid the base course today and the top layer is due to be put on today and tomorrow.
“We have arranged that the temporary traffic lights be taken down tomorrow afternoon and hope to have the junction re-opened using the normal traffic light system by tomorrow evening.”
The roadworks were necessary following a sewer burst on Christmas Eve.
Anglian Water say the work was hindered by delays in obtaining tarmac over the Christmas period.
The company spokesman added: “We’re very sorry for the disruption to road users on this first week back to work after Christmas.”
