ENTERPRISING youngsters at South View Primary School at Crowland persuaded mums and dads to part with cake ingredients and then sold the baked results back to them.
However, it was all in a good cause and resulted in a cheque for £70 being presented by the pupils to Crowland Cancer Fund, whose chairman Frank Barrett and vice-chairman Val Capes received the funds.
Frank said: “I understand they got the ingredients from their mums and dads and then sold the cakes back to them. I thought it was a really good idea and thanked them for doing it.”
