UNIFORMS were back on when students at Spalding Grammar School proudly presented a cheque for £750 to the Two Lips campaign.
The money was raised at a non-uniform day and was just one of several events held at the school that have resulted in £4,338 going to good causes in the UK and abroad.
Charities are chosen by the school’s Student Voice committee and Two Lips was picked because it supports the local community.
Alan Porter, president of Spalding Rotary Club, received the cheque on behalf of Two Lips. He said: “I was delighted to see the young people involved in the campaign – they are the future of the town and district.”
Money is still coming in and Mr Porter said the fund had smashed the target and was now more than £10,400.
He said: “It’s a good foundation for next year.”
