Priory Players get ready to say “open sesame”

A cast of adults and children are coming together to perform a special pantomime at the Deeping’s School.

The Priory Players and Priory Youth Players are drama groups set up in Deeping St James who regularly put on shows for the public.

This month, they are putting on their pantomime which is Ali Baba and the Raiders of the Lost Pyramid.

Rehearsals are taking place now, in the run up to two performances which take place on January 23 and 24.

Producer Kate Redhead said: “We’ve got a cast of 60 children and adults and we’ve been rehearsing since September.

“This fast paced pantomime is set in Egypt and the cast go in search of riches in the Lost Pyramid of Pharaoh Nuff with the help of their ex-police sniffer camel, Sopwith.”
