THIS dramatic picture of a tornado over Sutton St James has been captured by resident Keith Cooper this afternoon.
THE tornado hung over the village for about 20 minutes just after 4pm but no damage has been reported so far.
Mr Cooper was at home with his wife and daughter when they caught sight of the tornado after the skies suddenly became darker.
He said: “I was in the house and my daughter Stacey said ‘Oh look, there’s a tornado - I’ve never seen one of those before.
“So we thought it would be good to take a picture of it and send it to the local paper.
“It started over the back of my house, disappeared and then it cambe back again.
”It kept getting longer and longer and it went all black over the west of Sutton St James.”
Lincolnshire has gained a reputation for being England’s tornado hotspot after a number of recent events, including one where a man was lifted into the air while sleeping in his caravan in Long Sutton last month.
