STUDENTS at Sir John Gleed School in Spalding were left in no doubt that crime never pays after a hard-hitting presentation by prison officers.
The school welcomed prison staff and police during a Prison Me? No Way! day designed to raise awareness of the consequences of crime.
There were workshops on the impact of knife crime, prison officers giving an honest account of life behind bars and students got to look inside a real prison van and to listened to a talk on online grooming by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre which tries to stamp out child sexual abuse.
The highlight of the day was a talk by a young offender from Manchester serving time in prison after he was drawn into a life of drugs and violence.
