PEOPLE are getting wet feet because Bridge Road in Sutton Bridge is higher than the pavements.
Parish councillors want Lincolnshire County Council to “plane off” the road surface by several inches.
Sutton Bridge Parish Council decided on Tuesday to ask the county council to cost the works and invite Coun William Webb, county executive councillor for highways, to their next meeting.
Coun David Dewsberry said: “As soon as the road has been re-surfaced, the water’s coming off the road and on to the path. People are getting soaked.”
Coun Vicky Hills said the road is a danger because kerbs don’t protect pedestrians.
