“NOT being a gentleman” to a 16-year-old girl landed a Spalding resident in court.

Adrian Krzyczowski (20) was drunk when he tried to hug the girl as she walked past him outside Ladbrokes in the town’s Sheepmarket.

Krzyczowski pleaded guilty to a public order offence when he appeared before Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Rebecca Ritson, prosecuting, said the girl brought the incident on November 16 to the attention of a police officer after she claimed Krzyczowski then threw an advertising board at her and her friend.

She told the court Krzyczowski, of Edinburgh Drive, was given a warning by the police officer, who left him walking towards Hall Place.

However, he was later asked to leave the town centre after he was believed to have popped some balloons on a display outside a jewellers shop. The two girls also accused Krzyczowski of following them.

Krzyczowski, who did not have a solicitor in court, denied trying to hit the girl with the advertising board but told magistrates: “I was not a gentleman when she showed me the finger. I think I called her something.”

The court gave Krzyczowski a conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £85 costs.
