Construction students have etched their place in history during a ceremony to mark a milestone in the building of the new University Academy Holbeach.
The youngsters, who have been using the building site as a “living classroom”, joined main contractors Shepherd Construction and headteacher Steve Baragwanath in signing one of the girders that will become part of the steel frame of the new £8.1million 3,600m sq academy.
Work is expected to be complete next autumn.
