A man who bought cosmetics for £50 as gifts “closed his eyes” to the fact they were stolen, a court heard.
Marius Mandache (28) was driving “erratically” on Winsover Road, Spalding, on October 23 when police stopped him and searched his car after a passenger began acting strangely.
Mandache, of Camp Lane, Handsworth, Birmingham, admitted to handling stolen goods before town magistrates on Thursday.
Marie Stace, prosecuting, said Mandache told police he bought them three days earlier even when he thought they were stolen.
Rachel Stevens, mitigating, said Mandache “closed his eyes to the obvious” and now regretted his decision.
He was fined £75, told to pay £25 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
