A woman trying to sell drugs in the toilet of a Spalding nightclub was offering them to friends in order to fund her own habit.
Melissa Elam (20), of Severn Road, Spalding, pleaded guilty before town magistrates on Thursday to possessing cocaine and cannabis during a night out at Loaded Nightclub in Westlode Street on March 11.
She also admitted to possessing a quantity of the drug NRG2 with intent to supply and will be committed for sentencing at Lincoln Crown Court on a date next year.
Marie Stace, prosecuting, said Elam was arrested by police after a staff member at the nightclub suspected her of offering to sell drugs to some friends in the toilet.
Mrs Stace added that police searched Elam and found 11 small bags of drugs with a street value of between £120 and £200, along with a mobile phone containing about 6,000 text messages relating to buying and offering to sell drugs.
Rachel Stevens, mitigating, said Elam planned to use the cocaine and cannabis herself and would have only sold NRG2 to her friends at the nightclub.
“She didn’t go out with the intention of selling drugs and this was a case of friendly supply to feed her own habit at that time,” Miss Stevens said.
