Schoolchildren let their imaginations run wild in a competition to design a logo for a group set up to buy land for affordable homes in Pinchbeck.
Pupils from St Bartholomew’s Primary School, West Pinchbeck and Pinchbeck East Primary School had a month to come up with a logo for Pinchbeck Community Land Trust based on an eco-friendly theme.
The winning logo was drawn by St Bartholomew’s pupil Jacob Cox, with second place going to Freya Peters from the same school and Pinchbeck East pupil Tia Alexander in third.
Michelle Parker, headteacher at St Bartholomew’s, said: “A good majority of our children entered the competition and there were art-based prizes, including felt-tip pens and pencils, for Jacob and Freya.”
Pinchbeck district councillor Sally Slade, one of the judges, said: “We asked children from the two schools to design a logo for the trust to use for publicity in the future and there were lots of really good entries.”
