Santa is counting down to Christmas by bringing festive cheer to people around Spalding as he makes his rounds with his helpers from South Holland Rotary Club.
The big fat fella has already been out in his sleigh in all weathers bringing a smile to the faces of adults and children alike as he tours Spalding and the surrounding area’s streets.
The cash collected by the Rotary Club will go towards its general charity fund, a third of which is generally spent locally on good causes such as the town’s gym club, swimming club and food bank, to name a few.
Fundraising chairman and founder member John Atkinson said: “It gives us a buzz to see the children’s faces light up when they see Santa on his sleigh and we have had a fantastic response so far and look forward to carrying on over the next few days in the run up to Christmas.

l Today (Thursday), Santa will be visiting St John’s Road, Lancelot Way, Bellfield Close, Beechams Mews, Pulman Court, Apeldoorn Gardens, Victory Court, Hawthorn Bank, Ambleside Drive, Floriade Close, Hoekman Drive, Parkway, Aalsmeer Rise, Limburg Drive, Heren Place, Breda Court, Haarlem Court, Rembrandt Way, The Wyke, Amstel Close, Amsterdam Gardens, Leiden Fields, Daffodil Close, May Blossom Walk, Horseshoe Road, Delft Court, Hague Court, Van Gough Drive.

l On Sunday, December 23, Santa and his sleigh will be at Morrison’s Store before he departs to Lapland to prepare for his journey around the world in two days’ time with a sleigh laden with presents for everyone.
