Dangers facing children leaving a Spalding school has prompted a parent to start a campaign for a crossing patrol.
Adam McVeigh says he is calling for support after previous pleas to parents to park safely seem to have failed.
He said: “Monkshouse Primary School has been trying every effort it possibly can to deter any parent who parks in the safety zone, from email shots threatening fines to physically placing warning letters on windscreens.
“Despite these very strong efforts, whilst periods of relative calm fluctuate, still vehicles continue to ignore the advisory notices.
“If you’re a parent of a child at Monkshouse School, you live locally to Pennygate or a resident of any area in Spalding who cares about the road safety of young children and are concerned by the dangers caused by inconsiderate parking of some drivers, then there has never been a better time to help secure the introduction of a lollipop man or woman.”
Efforts to promote sensible parking outside schools was highlighted by Spalding Police during the live tweetbeat with the Lincolnshire Free Press.
PCSO Paul Coupland regularly visits schools when parents are dropping children off or collecting them as part of his community patrol.
Headteacher Sue Coupland said she welcomed the support of parents in solving the problem.
She said; “It’s a universal problem but it is good that parents are being proactive in helping us to solve it.”
