The following residents have appeared before Spalding magistrates.

WOMAN DENIES BENEFITS CHARGES

A woman of 36 has denied two offences involving claims for benefits.

Lindsay Ball, of Belchmire Lane, Gosberton, will stand trial at Spalding Magistrates’ Court on June 13.

She is accused of dishonestly failing to notify a change of circumstances that would affect her entitlement to housing and council tax benefit – and a similar charge alleging a failure to notify the Department of Work and Pensions of a change that would affect her entitlement to income support. Spalding magistrates granted bail at Tuesday’s hearing.

SHOP THEFT DENIED

A man denied stealing Grey Goose vodka and Jack Daniels worth £100 from Tesco in Market Deeping.

Andrew Harding (31) also pleaded not guilty to failing to surrender to bail when he appeared at Spalding Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Harding, of Myrtle Avenue, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, was bailed to a trial date at the court on June 6.

WOMAN FINED ON MOTORING CHARGE

A woman was fined £35 and must pay a £15 victim surcharge for failing to produce her insurance document on time to police.

Donna Steel (32), of Station Road, Long Sutton, was insured but produced the schedule rather than the certificate, her solicitor Mike Alexander told Spalding magistrates on Tuesday.

He entered a guilty plea on her behalf.
