Rats Woody and Buzz were the stars of a visit to Gosberton’s Rainbow Playgroup by ZooLab, an organisation that helps children come face to face with fascinating small creatures.
A crab, a tree frog, a corn snake, a tarantula and giant snails were among the animals taken to the playgroup by Zoolab’s Sophie Richardson, who talked about where they live and what they eat.
Playgroup assistant Karen Ellison said: “The children thought the animals were fabulous especially the rats – I think it’s because the rats are furry but two of our staff turned wussy and disappeared.
“Strange, that, the rats were the one thing the staff didn’t like but the children loved them.”
