Interest in a tunnel in the playground of a Spalding school will keep on growing thanks to the students who built it. Living Willow held workshops at the Priory School to help Years 7, 8 and 11 produce a piece of playground equipment using a natural product. The tunnel is seven metres long and six foot wide and it will be the responsibility of Years 10 and 11 to maintain it when it starts growing, as part of the pupils’ horticultural qualification. Teacher Chris Lee said: “It was interesting seeing it come together as it started out as individual lengths of willow.”
