MONDAY 2.45PM: A 70-year-old man is in hospital with chest injuries after a crash involving his vehicle and a tractor in Holbeach St Johns earlier today.
It happened in Jekils Bank just after 10.30am when a Rover Freelander hit the tractor, causing the road to be closed and delays at the nearby B1168 New River Gate junction.
The injured man from Wisbech was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, where he is in a stable condition.
MONDAY 1.30PM: A person had to be freed from their vehicle by firemen using specialist rescue gear after crashing into a tractor in Holbeach St Johns on Monday.
Fire crews from Holbeach and Spalding used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the person from a Rover Freelander that hit the tractor in Jekils Bank just after 10.30am.
The road was closed for a period and motorists were delayed near the B1168 New River Gate junction while firemen made the vehicle safe.
