A man with drink-drive convictions had seven failed attempts to blow into a breath test machine at Spalding Police Station.
Prosecutor Mark Holmes said Adam Popple was “exceptionally intoxicated” when police saw his car veering from side to side at Hop Pole on March 27.
Mr Holmes said Popple gave no medical reason for his failure to give a sample.
Solicitor Mike Alexander, mitigating, said: “I suspect he realised he was over the limit and it was an attempt in his drunken state to think ‘I am going to get away with it’.”
Popple (31), of Lanthwaite Close, Nottingham, had his case adjourned to May 9. He admitted failing to provide a sample and received an interim driving ban.
